Dr. Neves was an advisor for my Honors Thesis during my time at BGSU and taught me much about aquarium husbandry, leadership, and how to have fun while being a researcher.

Dr. Sherwood oversaw the NSF REU program during my time in it and guided his students in learning proper research methods and preparing for higher education opportunities. Dr. Sherwood also wrote a paper back in 2007 that I am now citing during my own research, really a full-circle mentorship!
