Bio
I am a fisheries scientist focusing on the ecology of Newfoundland's Northern Cod population. I'm currently living and working in Newfoundland, but am originally from Ohio. I grew up on the Great Lakes and have always had an interest in the creatures under the waves! When my nose isn't buried in fish data, I like hiking, embroidering, baking, and watching movies.

Research Interests
I am interested in the biology and ecology of pelagic and groundfish species of the North Atlantic Ocean. I also have an interest in socioecology, and try to take a "human" approach to fisheries science whenever possible.

My Master's thesis is looking at the temporal shifts in diet and fecundity of Northern cod over the past many years. My research aims to understand the importance of fish populations biologically while incorporating sociological knowledge and community value to better preserve vital species.
